Osteopathy is a gentle form of manual therapy based on the philosophy that the structure of your body directly affects how it will function, and that it functions collectively as a whole. This means if there is a restriction or pain in one area, then all other parts of the body will be affected in some way. My role as an osteopathic practitioner is to find the root cause of this restriction by using an in depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and collective mechanics. Osteopathy follows a belief in the body's ability to self-regulate and self-heal. It focuses on facilitating the health of joints and muscles, helping to strengthen the framework of the body, ensuring optimal function of the nervous, lymphatic and circulatory systems.

Cassandra began her aesthetic career in 2010 working as a Makeup Artist and skincare expert. It was through this that she found her passion lay in helping people look and feel like the best version of themselves and developed her skills in aesthetics, specializing in facials and brow treatments. She began educating herself on a variety of holistic healing modalities and saw positive results as she began to detox her diet, lifestyle and personal products. She wanted to share this knowledge with others, so that she would be able to help people start healing from the inside out, rather than covering up their ‘problems’. In 2013 Cassandra attended a workshop hosted by Province Apothecary founder Julie Clark and was inspired by Julie’s approach to aromatherapy and healing. This chance encounter led her to a position at Province Apothecary where she developed the Full Brow + Lash treatments. In 2018, Cassandra completed her certificate at the Healing Fragrances School of Aromatherapy in Toronto and looks forward to expanding her aromatherapy skills both in the clinic and in her personal life. She’s excited to help you feel amazing in your own skin - naturally!

Courtney’s journey working in the health and wellness field began in 2011. As an athlete herself, she was passionate about fitness and completed schooling in Fitness and Health Science. This allowed her to work one-on-one with clients to achieve their goals. Feeling called to learn more about manual therapy, Courtney went back to school for a Bachelors in Athletic Therapy. Combining her love for sports with her passion to heal the body. Throughout her schooling, Courtney longed for a deeper understanding of the body and how it heals. It was then that she would meet an Osteopathic Practitioner who would inspire her to return to school, and complete an intensive 4-year program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton. She had found her calling. Osteopathy’s approach to looking at the body with such an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and collective mechanics, was unparalleled to anything she had learned prior. She was able to obtain results with patients like never before. Courtney is a licensed member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA/OSTCAN), and excited to help her patients find and remove the root cause of their pain. In her spare time Courtney enjoys yoga, pilates, meditation and exploring the outdoors.

Dixie has early memories of standing on tiptoes at the bathroom counter, watching her grandma slowly trailing a towel through steaming hot water, rinsing it out, and carefully massaging it across her face and neck. This nightly ritual was an introduction and window into what seemed at the time a mysterious, sacred practice, and established a lifelong fascination with uncovering just what it means to take care of our skin. Dixie began her career with Province Apothecary as a production assistant–a role that she continues to nurture to this day. Learning about the therapeutic benefits of botanical ingredients, how to blend them, and their wider implications in the spheres of health and beauty led her to expand her studies and train as an Holistic Aesthetician at the Canadian Beauty College. Dixie is thrilled to combine her ever-growing inquiry into the nature of our skin with this deeply restorative treatment and in-depth knowledge of the Province Apothecary skincare line. Cultivating the connection between one’s internal landscape and its influence on the skin and overall wellness informs the core of her practice, and she’s excited to empower her clients to do the same.
